Co-flying helicopter transport — share the cost, save up to 50%
Co-flying is a cost-sharing model where several jobs are coordinated on one mobilisation. Sharing the hire makes it possible to cut your costs significantly — especially for cabin transport, construction-site lifting and concrete transport, where several customers often have needs in the same area.
What can be shared?
- Mobilisation — the flight from the helicopter base to the job site (transit time). Can be shared between several customers in the same area.
- Ground crew — load preparation and rigging can be coordinated across several customers.
- Helicopter standby time — during breaks between customers’ rotations.
What CANNOT be shared?
- The actual flight time for your load — you pay only for the time actually spent transporting your own cargo.
- Any add-on services that you order yourself (photography, concrete pouring, etc.)
Result: typically a 30–50% cost saving per participant when 2–3 customers co-fly in the same area.
Three tips to save the most with co-flying
1. Be flexible on the date
If you let us choose the timing (within 1–2 weeks), we can coordinate with other nearby jobs. This delivers a significant discount.
2. Talk to your neighbours
Are several cabins being built the same year in the same area? Arrange the flight together — it is common to have 4–6 cabins in a small area needing transport at the same time.
3. Use the coordination system
Register your job in our calendar, and you will see other planned jobs in the same area and can contact them directly.

- Cabin development in Sunnmøre: 5 cabin owners coordinated the flying of building materials on the same day, saving about 40% per person compared with separate jobs.
