Preikestolen (Pulpit Rock) Helicopter Tour — 604m Above Lysefjord
Preikestolen — known internationally as Pulpit Rock — is one of Norway's three iconic cliffs. A flat, square slab of stone hanging 604 metres above the deep emerald Lysefjord. The classic hike takes 4 hours; from a helicopter, we deliver the unobstructed aerial view in under an hour, including angles no hiker ever sees.
Why fly Preikestolen
Almost all photographs of Preikestolen are taken from the cliff top after the standard 4-hour return hike, looking out at the fjord. From the air, we show you the cliff from outside — looking back at the rock face with Lysefjord beneath and the surrounding mountains as backdrop. This is the angle that reveals the true geological drama: a flat 25×25m slab balanced on the edge of a 604m vertical wall.
Combine with our Trolltunga aerial tour for both of Norway's iconic cliffs in one day, or with Hardangerfjord tour for fjord variety.
